Supporting young people as they take their first steps into the world of work.
Over the past few weeks, we were delighted to welcome Allannah, Stephen and Harvey to Multrees as part of their paid internship in partnership with Career Ready. Now in our third year of supporting the programme, it remains a brilliant opportunity to help young people build confidence, develop new skills and gain real insight into the world of financial services.
Career Ready is a social mobility charity that supports young people who may face barriers in education and employment, helping them build the skills, confidence and networks needed for their future.

During their time with us, the students spent time across several teams, gaining first-hand insight into how different departments work together to deliver great outcomes for our clients and the wider business.
A project with purpose
After settling into office life and completing their induction, the students quickly began working together on a meaningful project: creating an improved induction pack for future new joiners.
To gather insight, they interviewed recent new starters to understand what worked well, what could be improved and what would have made their own induction experience even better. This gave them the chance to practise planning, communication, organisation and teamwork while contributing to something with a practical impact at Multrees.
Learning across the business
As the internship progressed, they met with more colleagues from across the business, organised meetings, captured feedback and shaped their findings into a final presentation.
Alongside their project work, they heard from colleagues about different career journeys into Multrees and took part in a session exploring AI in the workplace.
Developing practical skills for the future
In their final week, the students brought their project together, designed their PowerPoint presentation and joined our Marketing team to learn about brand guidelines, LinkedIn and Canva.
It has been a pleasure to host Allannah, Stephen and Harvey and see their confidence grow throughout their time with us. We are proud to support initiatives that help young people gain meaningful workplace experience and explore future opportunities.
