1. Definitions
“Multrees”, “We”, “Us” and “Our” refer to Multrees Investor Services Limited.
“The User”, “You”, “Your” and “Yours” refer to the individual using our website (multrees.com).
2. Overview
Multrees has a website that uses cookies to enhance its performance, functionality, and security. Essential cookies are used primarily to ensure the safety and security of the website and its users; these cannot be opted out of. Additional cookies are used to track performance and feed analytics; these can be opted out of by users via a popup that appears when a user first visits the Multrees website. They can be updated at any time.
3. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files (often including unique identifiers) placed on the user’s computer that are sent by web servers to web browsers, and which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of our website and to compile standard statistical reports on website activity. We use various types of cookies – you can find more details about this in the Appendix.
4. What information do cookies collect
Cookies used by Multrees create anonymous identifiers to distinguish between users, but do not collect any personal data. The cookies we use do not contain any information that personally identifies you, but personal information that we already store about you may be linked to the information obtained from cookies.
5. Customising your cookie preferences
When you first visit our website, a popup appears that allows you to customise your cookies preferences. In addition, most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, so you can set your browser not to accept cookies. You can update your cookies preferences at any time by clicking on the cookie icon at the bottom right of the website, or by changing the setting in your browser.
You can find more information about cookies at www.aboutcookies.org. You should note that, in a few cases, some of our website features may not function because of cookies being disabled.
6. Regulatory compliance
Multrees continually reviews regulations to ensure that we comply with all the regulations that seek to protect users’ data and privacy. This includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which the UK implemented in the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) provides guidance to firms and individuals about cookies and other issues relating to data protection. More information about how cookies are regulated can be found here.
