Robert Davidson and Ian Kennedy from Multrees Investor Services are embarking on a self-funded, self-supported bikepacking journey across Egypt, tracing the first stage of the legendary Tour d’Afrique route known as the Pharaoh’s Delight.
Their adventure begins at the Pyramids of Giza and concludes at the ancient temples of Aswan, covering approximately 1,000 km over the course of a week.
Riding between 6 to 12 hours each day and averaging 160 km daily, they will traverse mountain passes, deserts, coastal roads, and the banks of the Nile. With no support crew, they’ll be travelling light—carrying only essential gear for bike maintenance and survival—relying solely on local shops and accommodations along the way.
This challenge is more than just an epic adventure. Rob and Ian are raising money for Bowel Research UK, the charity partners of Multrees. Their goal is to turn this intense physical and mental undertaking into something meaningful by helping fund critical research and support for those affected by bowel diseases.
